JACK WHITE GOES SOLO - WHAAAT

We love Jack White - do we not? As a generation - we love him. He's our crowned king. The King of Rock, as it were.

Maybe it's my Detroit loyalty - ahem royalty - having lived there for more than 10 years, but I think it's the music; plain and simple. So it was absolutely big news last week when he announced that he's releasing a solo album, Blunderbuss; which apparently is like a shotgun, but at this point it just reminds me of Portlandia.

Do yourself a favor and listen to The Raconteurs live rendition of "Blue Veins". It may have been an unassuming track on the album, but live it's an 8 minute goldmine of raw playing power.
