JUSTICE: THE SOUND OF VICTORY

This is exactly how I want to imagine Justice: existing as rock stars should in a lavish Parisian hotel, all glammed out. Never change, Justice! Never change!

I finally picked up Audio, Video, Disco and I'm looking forward to seeing their live show at Coachella. I'm gonna dance my ass off, it's gonna be rad!

The album has a very exaggerated, over-the-top tone, with several all-instrumental tracks. They could easily soundtrack a video game or action movie; this is music of the victor, very triumphant. There are several great songs, but "Canon" gets me every time - the intro is SICK! (Those drums!?) They are masters of siphoning the power from a build up, to a breakdown.

While we're at it, the imagery and infinite scrolling quality in the "ON 'N' ON" video were a great interpretation of the song's sensibilities. The groove on this track makes it another stand-out song on the album.
